The earliest record of the avocado's existence came from an archaeological dig in Peru that uncovered avocado seeds buried with a mummy that dated back to the 8th century BC. The avocado is native to Mexico, Central America and South America. Throughout history avocado oil has been renowned for its healing and regenerative properties.
